CATFE COLLAR COLOR GUIDE

Purpose
- Help guests quickly understand a cat’s age and choose the right way to interact.
- Keep senior cats calm and safe; reduce stress for all cats.
- Support staff in daily care and monitoring.

Color Meanings
- White: Over 15 years old. Very gentle touch only; do not pick up unless the cat comes to you.
- Red: 10–15 years old. Calm; slow petting; avoid jumping or chasing games.
- Yellow: 5–10 years old. Adult; slow wand play; allow breaks.
- Pink: Under 5 years old. Energetic and curious; avoid chasing; never feed human food.
- Green: Sensitive/Do not pet. Observation only; ask staff before any interaction.
- Blue: Guest cat. Do not interact or feed without the owner’s and staff’s consent.

Quick Memory
- Pink <5 • Yellow 5–10 • Red 10–15 • White >15
- Green = observe only • Blue = guest cat

Interaction Rules
- Sanitize hands before and after entering the cat area.
- Speak softly, move slowly, and keep petting sessions short (5–10 seconds).
- Do not pick up sleeping/eating/hiding cats.
- No flash or loud sounds; keep drinks out of reach.
- Ask staff before approaching green or blue collars.
